Tell me about
the Christmas Show setup?
Usually the artists have a
gazebo to house their displays. You will need some type of supports on
which to place your art. The artists use a variety of methods for
display such as panels, lattice, easels, etc
see our photos for
ideas....

Worried about what to do about a
booth for the show...see .Booth Samples
here.
Gazebos are available at any
store that sells outdoor equipment. Most of the participants have
purchased their gazebos at Costco in Naniamo. There is a large variety
of gazebos so the prices range from approximately $150.00 to $500.00 plus.
Yes, we do have a local
fund-raising group that supplies a concessions stand, usually with drinks
and food for the Summer Show but not for the Christmas Show.
Seating for the concession stand
is available; but seating for your booths is supplied by the artists
themselves.
On site security
will be provided by a professional security company from 5 pm Saturday
evening to 7 pm Sunday morning. Participating artists, at their own
discretion, may leave their work in their display area. Please note that the
Show cannot be held responsible for any damages that may occur due to
weather or any other uncontrollable circumstances. Artists wishing to
protect themselves from these kinds of circumstances should consider
insuring themselves through their own insurance company.
-
make sure that you have some
open flow through area. Clients hesitate to enter closed areas.
-
plan your display ahead of
time and practice setting it up so you don't have any surprises when you set
up at the site.
-
have some back up equipment in
case or rain - tarp etc.
You can have your pics on the site as soon as you register and send me some
pictures. You don't need to have a website. I am asking for 4.
They can be sent via email or just send them as photos in the mail when you
register. I have a scanner so I can scan them for you.
